Renee DeMar has been a career consultant for over 10 years.
Prior experience includes HR Manager with extensive recruitment, training
management teams, designing regional training programs and playing a key role
in the hiring process. As a career consultant she has designed and facilitated
for several recognized national model job search programs including:
facilitating the Winning New Jobs Model funded by the California
Wellness Foundation, and the national Malcolm Baldridge Award
Re-employment Services Program at NOVA Private Industry Council in Silicon Valley. She also designed and facilitated the job
readiness component for the Fast Track to Work Program at Cabrillo College, which was nationally researched
and recognized by MDRC as being the best of its kind in a community college
in the nation.
She operates her own business in Santa Cruz
called Next Wave Job Search Services, along with contracting for Right
Management Consulting and the Institute
of Business Performance. Renee
weaves an extensive theater background, into her rich HR management and
recruitment knowledge, and focuses that expertise in an extraordinary
humanistic way of helping diverse types of populations obtain their career
goals and dreams
She has designed, trained and coached in a variety of
community-based organizations, high tech corporate settings, business service
environments, defense contract arenas, and the community college classroom. She
has coached clients from welfare to work, dislocated workers, offenders,
rehabilitation, blue and white collar, college students, veterans, homeless,
top level executives, artists and all the creative types in-between.
Renee is known best for her soft-spoken style, unique views and
effective approaches that rekindle fresh sparks of hope in everyone’s heart and
spirit.
